Our skilled and dedicated lifting & shifting team are capable of moving everything from high value machinery to complete factory relocations. We will visit your sites to enable full and comprehensive planning and assessment of each job. Full detailed quotations, method statements, risk assessments and lifting plans are provided for each project. All of our staff are CPCS qualified.

AB2000 also has a mobile crane hire division who offers a reliable crane hire service across central Scotland, all of our operators are experienced and CPCS qualified. We can also provide transport and storage if required.
Crane services offered
- CPA Crane Hire – Offered to companies wishing to carry out their own lifting operations using their own insurance method statements and personnel. CPA Terms and conditions are available on our web site for download
- CPA Contract Lift – A fully comprehensive option offered to companies who wish us to provide a full lifting service, we provide appointed persons, rigging and slinging personnel, lifting plans and method statements using our insurance.
Test Weight Hire & Services
- At AB2000 we are able to supply a wide range of metal calibrated test weights for use in crane or load testing. Our weights range in size from 25kg – 7 t. Allowing the customer to arrange the weights to suit all load test requirements.
- We supply a selection of lifting cradles and spreader beams to suit all needs as well as a comprehensive collection of lifting accessories, If we don’t have a product to suit your exact requirement contact us as we offer bespoke solutions to manufacture cradles, beams and test weights.
Equipment Available for hire
- We hold over 300 Tons of steel block weights from 56lb/25kg hand weights to 7t blocks.
- Lifting Cradles Fitted with appropriate shackles and wire rope slings ranging from 2t to 100t.
- 1 x 10t and (2x40t Load Links c/w Hand Held Remotes) c/w Calibration Certificates.
- A variety of adjustable lifting beams and spreader beams ranging from 2t to 30t.
- Our calibrated weights and equipment are available for hire across the UK and can be delivered or collected, our specialist team we will be happy to discuss your individual requirements.
- Our lifting engineer John Hutcheon is a fully qualified and insured Incorporated Engineer (MIET) and lifting tackle inspector with 40 years of experience.
Crane Testing/Proof Load Testing
- We offer a full load testing service for the following kit either at your site or here at our workshops.
- 4 yearly crane tests for overhead, mobile, crawler and tower cranes
- Hiabs/lorry/truck mounted crane testing
- Testing of fabricated equipment, on/off shore utilisation.
