CD34 Capacitive Sensor for Accurate level detection

Compact housing with IP69K ratings and ECOLAB approval for wash-down applications and harsh environments.

Carlo Gavazzi has launched its latest CD34CNFLF capacitive sensor with foreground suppression, designed to detect water-based liquids through a non-metallic container wall.  The CD34 automatically adjusts to various thicknesses of plastic and glass; reliably detecting whilst ignoring residue film, moisture or foam from liquids such as water, milk body fluids(blood) acid or alkaline solutions with conductivity as high as 50 mS/cm inside or outside the container wall.

The CD34 is manufactured in a strong, compact housing with IP69K rating, has UL and ECOLAB approval for wash-down applications.  The CD34 is not short on features; and includes NPN and PNP versions and has a rated operating voltage of 10-30VDC (incl. 10% ripple), voltage drop of <1.5 VDC at a maximum load, and an output current of 100mA.  It also includes Short circuit reverse polarity and transient protection.

Each unit comes complete with either a 2m cable or M8 4 pin pigtail connector, excellent EMC performance and teach options for demanding applications.

The universal mounting brackets allow for multiple mounting methods to suit various tubes and containers that may be used in industries such as Agriculture, HVAC, Food & Beverage as well as Packing and wrapping.
