Marking and labelling specialist Partex UK has recently launched a test, maintenance, calibration and repair service for hydraulic, heavy duty and hand operated crimping tools. The in-house facility located at the company’s headquarters in the West Midlands, offers a fast and cost effective solution for businesses requiring their crimp tools repaired or calibrated to relevant BS/EN and international standards. Partex offers the new service for hand-operated tools for cord-end ferrules, pre-insulated terminals, copper tube terminals and pins used in multi pin connectors.

As well as hand operated tools, the Partex service also covers hydraulic and pneumatic crimp tools and tests them against manufacturer’s specifications. Upon completing the test, a certificate is issued detailing the measurements performed, the standards used, the environmental conditions during the calibration, the measurement tolerance and all other essential information.

Onsite service visits can also be arranged where the company’s experts can bring calibration straight to the customer’s door.

Furthermore, Partex is offering its tensile test and calibration services to distributors that supply crimp tools to their customers.
