SecureChem™- Chemical Dosing from IBCs

Dosing from IBCs is very convenient BUT what happens when you are leaving site and the chemical is still being consumed? Do you swop the “partly empty” IBC for a new one to ensure that the chemical is always available, and what about the Wastage??

Chemical dosing direct from IBCs made easy and safe.

When your chemical consumption is too high to use 25 litre drums but too small to consider bulk tanker deliveries, purchasing chemicals in 1m3 Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) can be a good, economic choice. H+E’s SecureChem™ Chemical Dosing Systems are pre-assembled prior to delivery and connect directly to the liquid outlet of the delivered IBCs.

Disadvantages of using IBCs

  • IBC changed for new one before it is empty just to ensure constant chemical supply
  • Wastage of chemical increases Operating Costs
  • Risk of chemical spillage and Environmental consequence

Do you know how much chemical you currently waste and the associated cost?

You may well find the answer surprising!

SecureChem™– I Chemical Systems: The basic facts

  • Normally manufactured in plastics to give high resistance to chemical corrosion.
  • Suitable for use with a wide range of concentrated chemicals.
  • IBCs sit on bunds, minimising chemical handling and risk of spillage
  • Provide a constant, 24/7 pressurised chemical supply to each point of use.
  • Level controls generate the following signals:
  • Alarm generation when duty IBC is completely empty
  • Optional automatic IBC changeover
  • Supply pump(s) automatically stop and generate alarm if no chemical is available (standby IBC is not connected)

System advantages:

  • Automated IBC changeover ensures 24/7 chemical supply
  • Ensures total use of chemical in each IBC, avoiding wastage
  • Minimises handling and consequent chemical risk
  • IBC Empty alarm advises when a replacement IBC is required
  • Pre-assembled and tested before delivery
  • Quick and easy to install
  • Can also be used for waste chemical collection into IBCs

Options

  • Enclosures available for outside location. This can include heaters
  • Leakage alarm inside enclosure
  • Various materials of construction are available (stainless steel for example)
  • A range of pump types, depending on the application

Note: You can also use SecureChem™ to transfer & collect waste into IBCs.
