IMO Precision Controls Limited, global manufacturer of Control and Automation products and components since 1972, has recently launched its brand new iView advanced HMI range. iView is a touch screen HMI with an incredible offering of standard features, all specifically designed for today’s automation environment, and available at an amazingly cost effective price with a 3 year manufacturer warranty.
The iView range includes two series models: The M Series for medium range applications; and the H Series with higher capability for more demanding applications. All iView HMIs offer high resolution 65K colour resistive touch LCD TFT screens operating on an ARM based processor, plus an array of communications ports enabling easy data logging. Ports include: two USB, one Ethernet, three serial and a microSD up to 16GB. These features make it possible to connect to printers, keyboards or a mouse and internal and/or external data storage (microSD and/or USB hard drive).
The advanced iView HMI is packed with many features that would allow remote connectivity via VNC server as well as Ethernet protocols (including Modbus TCP/IP, BACnet/IP, Profinet/IP), and Serial protocols (including Modbus RTU, BACnet, Siemens MPI). In fact, the iView supports over 380 industrial communication protocols for 3rd party device communications, so in essence, it can connect to all of the leading manufacturers automation products.
Screen sizes range from 4.3” all the way up to 15.0” with five sizes available in the M Series, and four in the H Series. Integral FTP file transfer functionality is supplied as standard, and allows for remote download, and the entire range is IP66 rated for increased protection. The iView is also suitable for use in the hardiest of conditions, due to its ability to work in a huge temperature range from -10°C to +60°C.
IMO provide licensed FREE development software in the form of iView Developer, which features solution-oriented screen objects, high-end vector graphics, Windows fonts for multi-language applications, recipes, data loggers and operation logging. Other functions include Trending, XY Graph, Alarm Monitoring and Time Scheduling.
