UK’s premier rail event prepares to welcome visitors

More than 470 exhibitors are now making final preparations for Railtex ‘15, which opens its doors at the NEC in Birmingham from 12 to 14 May. Firmly established as the UK’s premier showcase for the very latest in railway technology and services – and the biggest of these popular exhibitions in over a decade – this is an event not to be missed by anyone involved in managing or equipping one of the world’s busiest and fastest growing networks.

With levels of investment in the national rail system running at unprecedented levels, including major additions to the network like Crossrail and the planned HS2 high-speed line, the market offers great opportunities to suppliers. This has given an extra boost to Railtex this year, attracting many globally known names as well as numerous smaller highly specialised firms serving the rail sector. Participants will also include plenty of first-time Railtex exhibitors, adding to the innovation and new thinking on display.

Keynote speeches

As well as being able to interact with the companies driving forward the development of railway equipment, products and services, visitors to Railtex will be welcome to take part in many activities that also form a key part of the event. These include a wide-ranging programme of seminars, updates on major UK rail projects and open discussion forums. Each day will feature a keynote speech from a leading rail industry figure, and other presentations will provide valuable insights into trends in policy and technology. These sessions will all take place in the exhibition hall and will be open to everyone attending the show, free of charge.
