Hainbuch’s SpannTop Nova offers three chuck options

The Hainbuch SpannTop Nova workholding system provides three different chuck options: the combination pull-back with end stop facility; the combination dead-length with end stop; and the modular chuck pullback version for bar work only.  Resistant against contamination from coolant, swarf and dust, the clamping head of the SpannTop Nova has vulcanised seals that protect the system.

To clamp workpieces in the chuck, users simply fit the jaw module and clamp parts up to 215 mm in diameter. Internal clamping, which is said to be just as easy, is facilitated by changing over to the mandrel system that fits directly into the Nova chuck.
Thanks to Hainbuch’s CentroteX positioning technology, no radial adjustment is necessary. Changeover time is further reduced as only three screws are required to hold the base end-stop. According to Hainbuch, this means customers can change from bar work to billet work in just over a minute.
