BASA Awards 2025 Entries Now Open, Celebrating the Adhesives and Sealants Industry in the UK & Ireland

BASA, the adhesives and sealants association for the UK & Ireland, is excited to announce that the second BASA Awards night will be taking place on Thursday 6th November 2025 at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham.

Building from the success of the first ever BASA Awards last year, the gala evening returns to a centrally located, elegant venue for an unmissable celebration of the best of the UK & Ireland’s adhesives and sealants industry. The ceremony includes a three-course meal, hosted by television-famous stand-up comedian Jimmy McGhie, who has been described as “a brilliant talent” (The Scotsman) with “an easy charm and appealing relaxed manner” (Chortle). Entertainment continues with a live band, magician and disco.

The Awards evening brings together some of the biggest industry names, offering the opportunity for companies to demonstrate their excellence, innovation and leadership across eight prestigious categories. Through its support, the event gives back to the adhesives and sealants industry, plus raises funds for the Chair’s annually nominated charity.

Entries for the Awards are now open, and the entry deadline has just been extended until 25th July 2025, which is the final deadline. The judging panel for each category will consist of a team of well-respected, senior industry professionals.

Seven categories are directly open for BASA members to apply: Community Engagement; Best Sustainability Initiative – sponsor pending; Innovation – sponsored by Azelis UK Ltd; Future Leader; Apprentice of the Year; Excellence in Training & Development – sponsored by F. Ball and Co. Ltd.

The final category, Manufacturer of the Year, is the pinnacle of the Awards evening and is offered by invitation only. Following initial judging of other awards, applicants who have demonstrated outstanding performance in at least two categories with demonstrable commitment to sustainable growth of business in the UK will be invited to apply.

In the 2024 BASA Awards, over 100 delegates gathered to celebrate the industry’s outstanding achievements. Winners included Advanced Adhesives Ltd, ARDEX UK, Azelis UK Ltd, BASF plc, F. Ball and Co. Ltd, Rakem Group and Power Adhesives Ltd. These varied companies demonstrate the wide pool of accomplishment in the sector, with BASA’s membership spanning from adhesives manufacturing through to distribution and supply as well as industry and machinery manufacturers.

Emerging as one of the biggest winners of BASA Awards 2024, F. Ball and Co. Ltd was shortlisted in several categories and won the Process Safety Award and Product Packaging Award, in addition to securing the top prize of the Manufacturer of the Year Award. Commenting on F. Ball’s awards success, managing director Darren Kenyon said: “We are delighted to have won the coveted Manufacturer of the Year Award and be recognised for our commitment to sustainability and health and safety, as well as innovation across such a wide range of categories.” Darren continued: “We’d also like to congratulate BASA on hosting a fantastic event for the inaugural BASA Awards.”

Lorna Williams, CEO of BASA, commented: “I am incredibly proud that BASA Awards can recognise the hard work and exceptional output from our industry. It offers the opportunity for companies in our sector to elevate their profile, align their brand with excellence, and give back to the industry that has given us so much. It was wonderful to see so many members and guests in attendance last year and I am glad to see the continuing support for the Awards evening into 2025. Best of luck to all this year’s entrants!”
