Hi-Line appoints new commercial leader and achieves year-on-year growth with Ingersoll Rand
Damion Quinsee has been appointed as Commercial Leader of Hi-Line Industries, manufacturer of compressed air purification equipment, which was acquired by
Ingersoll Rand last year.
Damion takes over the reins from retired managing director, Steve Smith who grew the company’s sales of nitrogen generator systems and desiccant dryers significantly during his three-year tenure. Damion has worked in the laser cutting and nitrogen generation industries for more than 15 years, having worked his way from the factory floor, through design office roles through to sales and is ideally positioned to continue to lead the business as its customers seek ever-greater energy efficiency and performance.
The move comes just over one year into Ingersoll Rand’s acquisition of the Burton-Upon-Trent-based business as Colin Mander, European Compressor Channel Director for Ingersoll Rand explains:
“Hi-Line is a UK leader in the design, manufacture and installation of energy-efficient compressed air purification equipment, including air dryers, nitrogen and oxygen generators, filtration equipment, condensate management/drains, and service kits.
“Since we acquired the business on the 1st of July last year, customers have benefited in several ways. First, Ingersoll Rand technologies have been introduced to Hi-Line’s range of controllers, adding Industry 4.1 IoT capabilities. In exchange, Ingersoll Rand customers have gained access to Hi-Line’s range of alternative filter elements and the innovative Hi-PLEX dual technology dryer skids.”
Continues…
Designed for energy performance, the hybrid, Hi-PLEX units combine both refrigerant and desiccant dryers on the same skid, all with a five-year warranty for customers that have a service agreement. The refrigerant system removes bulk oil and water and the dryer, with vacuum assisted regeneration runs typically at 1-2 per cent purge, as opposed to 13 per cent on a standard heatless desiccant air dryer.
Colin continued:
“Now, under the leadership of Damion, we are looking to expand the product range further still, including developing a standard nitrogen range for applications in food and beverage, laser cutting and oil and gas industries, to name a few.
“In addition, customers can continue to benefit from Hi-Line’s extensive stock, one of the largest in the UK, for air receivers, refrigerant dryers and filters with same or next day delivery.“
Damion added:
“Everyone at Hi-Line Industries and Ingersoll Rand wishes Steve a long and happy retirement. We are all looking forward to working together to continue to build on the foundations laid down by Steve. We will continue to prioritise customer service and to grow our ACRIB-registered team of service technicians, alongside keeping a readily available stock of air purification equipment for next day delivery.”
