Kelda Extend Csg Waste Management Contract
Cleansing Service Group (CSG), the Fareham-based independent waste managers, have been contracted to supply hazardous and dry waste collection and treatment services to six sites operated by Kelda Water Services Defence Ltd. (KWS Defence), part of the Kelda Group.
The contract extends Kelda’s link with CSG who already carry out sewage treatment plant, pumping station and interceptor clearance tankering services for the water services company.
The new contract, which runs until 2019 with options to extend to 2024, tasks CSG with the collection of a range of hazardous waste streams from six water treatment facilities on sites owned by the Ministry of Defence, for which KWS Defence provides integrated water and waste water services.
Waste hub stations have been set up on the sites, where CSG have provided a range of collection facilities and signage.
Dry waste is being collected weekly, while hazardous arisings, including aerosols, batteries, WEEE waste, paint and oil-related waste, are transported from the sites to CSG’s hazardous waste facility at Cadishead, near Manchester, for treatment.
