Stand 7B280 TRANSWAVE Converters – Where were you in 1984?

If your memory needs a jog, 1984 was the year Virgin Atlantic took its inaugural flight whilst Sony and Philips released the first commercial CD player. Band Aid was formed and Michael Jackson’s album “Thriller” was on its way to selling 37 million copies. In January of that year two other great innovations hit the market. Whilst Apple released the very first Macintosh desktop computer, Power Capacitors Limited launched the TRANSWAVE Converter ® to facilitate the use of 3-phase machinery where only a single-phase electricity supply is available. Operation of Woodworking and Engineering machine tools has accounted for over 60% of all converters sold in the period 1984-2014.

Having had a presence at the biennial woodworking events at the NEC since 1988, TRANSWAVE Converters have chosen W14 to celebrate 30 years of converter production. Visit stand 7B280 between 5th and 8th October for a chance to win Apple App gift cards and discuss exclusive show discounts.

As those two design classics were starting out another was coming to an end. It was 30 years ago that Ferrari ceased production of the classic QVC 308 sports car and TRANSWAVE Converters will be offering one lucky visitor the chance to drive one.

“It’s great that we can celebrate this milestone in the company’s history at W14” said Managing Director Pete Moss “The TRANSWAVE Converter design has not really changed a great deal in 30 years” said Pete “You could call it a design classic – easy to install, easy to operate, easy to maintain; in fact it is testament to the design that it is only in the last 5 years that customers have started to come back to us wanting to replace original models”

Why be restricted in your choice of machinery because you only have access to a single phase electricity supply? See converter and inverter solutions for single and multi-motor applications from 0.5hp to 50hp. Prices from £99 + VAT. TRANSWAVE Converters have been manufactured in Birmingham since 1984. Over 22000 units sold. SUPPORT BRITISH MANUFACTURING.
