Thomson to exhibit high-performance linear motion solutions at Automation India Expo 2025

Thomson Industries, a leading manufacturer of linear motion control solutions, will exhibit alongside fellow Regal Rexnord brands Kollmorgen and Portescap at  Automation India Expo 2025, taking place from August 11–14 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, India. Together in Hall 6, Booth R-05, the companies will present a prominent selection of motion control technologies that support the future of sustainable and intelligent automation.

Thomson Industries, Inc.

Thomson will display a selection of its linear motion components engineered to meet the demands of modern automation. The event’s theme, “Sustainable and Safe Automation,” closely reflects Thomson’s commitment to advancing electric motion control as a cleaner, more energy efficient alternative to hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore linear bearings and guides, round rail assemblies, ball and lead screws, and a broad portfolio of electric linear actuators – solutions well-suited for engineers and decision-makers in sectors such as factory automation, packaging, robotics, medical equipment and mobile machinery.

A key highlight will be the Electrak® XD, Thomson’s latest heavy duty actuator engineered to deliver the strength of hydraulic actuation with the benefits of all-electric control. Designed for reliability in harsh industrial conditions, the Electrak XD enables greater energy efficiency, simplified machine design, and lower maintenance demands, making it an ideal fit for manufacturers looking to reduce environmental impact without sacrificing performance.

“Our presence at Automation India shows the growing demand for motion solutions that not only support sustainability but also deliver the precision, flexibility and reliability today’s applications require,” said Håkan Persson, Director – Product Marketing at Thomson. “With products like the Electrak XD, we are enabling engineers to move beyond traditional systems and embrace smarter, cleaner and more capable automation across industries.”

Thomson experts will be available throughout the event to engage with visitors on application-specific challenges and demonstrate how the company’s motion control solutions can simplify machine design, reduce system complexity and contribute to long-term performance gains.
