WES Ltd win Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) annual award for innovation

After being shortlisted for an award, WES Ltd was represented by electrical engineers Warwick Palmer and Wayne Daysh at the annual ECA awards dinner in Westminster last Saturday.

Following a gala dinner and entertainment from comedian Ed Byrne, the award ceremony kicked off and WES Ltd were announced as winners of the prestigious award for Innovation in Contracting. The award was based on work that WES had undertaken with the Royal Navy and Babcock in applying innovative solutions to complex cooling system corrosion issues on Royal Navy warships and submarines.

Kevin Wheeler WES’s Managing Director commented saying:

“I am absolutely delighted with this accolade in recognition of the hard work across the entire WES business and in particular the electrical team. Until quite recently WES have been predominantly a mechanical specialist for chemical systems in the water industry. Development of the electrical capability coupled with working for the Royal Navy was a tough challenge and I am proud to say that we exceeded expectations. This award endorses the effort made by the business in changing to meet client demand and striving to do better.”
