Perfluoroelastomers (FFKM) provide outstanding chemical and thermal resistance, making them ideal for use in the most demanding sealing applications. FFKM helps withstand many aggressive chemicals and extends the operational range in extreme high temperature environments.
Encapsulated O-Rings (FEPs and PFAs) are recommended when a standard O-Ring has inadequate chemical resistance for an application, and a solid PTFE O-Ring does not have the elasticity for reliable, long term fluid sealing. These have either a Viton or Silicone Core, however, a spring version is also available for Cryogenic applications.
