Radwell

Engineers working in today’s process and manufacturing industry require their supply chain to provide value in many ways. In some cases it is availability, price and quality, whilst others look for innovation to support initiatives that drive efficiency or postpone investment. Despite efforts to standardise automation over the last decade, most facilities have a diverse range of equipment installed across the site and of mixed vintage depending on the investment policy of the facility and product life-cycle.

Radwell International, based in the Midlands, have recently launched solutions that combine supply-chain procurement with life-cycle asset management. Best practice dictates that the maintenance function delivers cost efficiencies annually. In many cases there are insufficient resources to focus on managing obsolescence and the stores stocking policy. Procurement and transactional solutions focus on reducing administration costs, but lack the technical support the engineering and maintenance function require – many of these conceptual solutions are not sustainable or fail to deliver the proposed benefits. This is where Radwell are different.

From parts supply, to whole-life comprehensive support, Radwell will tailor industry best-practice solutions to your site specific needs. Obsolescence continues to be an increasing issue for organisations – a strategic partnership with Radwell will help you source and support the management of repairable assets of your entire installed base and offer a suite of services to ensure you have the answers.

Radwell receive many requests from customers for support with parts that are no longer made nor supported by the original manufacturers, an example being Gem 80 parts. Typical requests have been to supply additional spares or to clean and test current spares that have sat idle over time. Any that fail can be passed to the Radwell Repair Centre. Customers are looking for the peace of mind that they have support from their chosen supply chain partner, today and into the future. With Radwell offering a number of options; customers have choice.

Since trading in the UK began 5 years ago, Radwell have become the EMEA hub for Factory New, Surplus and Repairs and has recently launched new services to provide customers with further options when maintaining production sites. Radwell solutions help clients via the IBE process. This will identify excess inventory (which Radwell can buy back), repairable assets (which will be tagged on your CMMS system), setting min/max levels, forward planning obsolescence management, supporting obsolescence and engineering migration to the latest technology.

As part of the global expansion,  Radwell launched a new high-tech facility in Germany this year, which will further accelerate growth opportunities for Radwell in terms of locating obsolete stock and gaining a larger surplus inventory through the ‘Buy Surplus’ service.

The Radwell customer focused culture supports the organisations desire for growth. The company listens to feedback and are always striving to improve customer service. New solutions, such as IBE’s and Field Engineering were introduced to minimise the fear of downtime. The two year warranty that applies to surplus products and repairs continues to prove popular with all customers, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to technical quality and customer satisfaction.
