Atom TPM

Atom TPM are a multi-disciplined Consulting Engineering & Project Management Practice with the UK Centre of Excellence for Food Manufacturing Factory Design based in Edinburgh, Scotland with other associated offices in Dornoch and Canterbury. They were established in 1995 and have grown to become one of the leading Designers of Food Manufacturing Factories in the UK.

To celebrate 25 Years in Business the name was updated in 2020 to encompass our unique food project approach of ‘Total Project Management’ – based on the concept of Total Football developed by Holland (1974) and Barcelona (1988).

This has led to the company being able to offer a full package of Total Project Management®, specialised in Architectural production layout design and spatial planning using 3D software, Production Analysis, Project Management, Structural, M&E Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering and Building Consultancy services tailored to suit a Client’s needs and importantly to achieve major Retailer Technical Approval and industry wide standards such as BRC, EFSIS and SALSA accreditation. We can also look at Production Optimisation of existing production and manufacturing facilities to support business cases.

Atom TPM have a technical resource of around 33 with 12 staff working from the Scottish Office, as well as having various Consultants that are used from time to time depending on the scope of the project.

The aim of the company is to provide Customer satisfaction and a high level of service and they pride themselves on ensuring that hands-on Director involvement is maintained throughout the project until completion; thus ensuring a high return of repeat business (96% of our work is repeat business or referrals, recently re-measured as part of our IIP re-assessment to retain Silver Status).
