Bender UK plans new HQ to accommodate expansion

Electrical safety specialist Bender UK is set to expand into a new purpose-built corporate headquarters and service centre close to its current head office in Ulverston, South Cumbria, and aims to complete construction by early 2016.

The growth of Bender UK is driven by its ability to deliver bespoke engineered solutions and an advanced service and support capability for markets including the medical sector, renewable energy, rail infrastructure, power distribution, marine, manufacturing, data centres, the oil and gas industry and offshore subsea development.

CEO of the Bender Group in Germany Dr Dirk Pieler commented: “Bender UK has enjoyed outstanding success and I am working closely with UK Managing Director Steve Mason to ensure the company has the resources to provide the highest levels of support which our customers expect from Bender, alongside cutting edge electrical safety technology.”

The new HQ is designed to incorporate Bender UK’s sales personnel, customer service operators and the technical service teams who configure bespoke applications of Bender technology and also support customers on site and manage maintenance requirements.

Mr Mason explained: “The new base will offer enormous advantages in terms of the effectiveness of our staff and the service we can offer customers.  We know precisely what our customers require and also have laid our plans for expanding services and capitalising on new markets.  We have also been steadily increasing our network of service operators supporting customers on a 24/7 basis across the country.  That recruitment will continue so it is vital that we have the space to enable the training and upskilling which keeps us at the forefront of electrical safety technology.”
