Cirrus makes a noise about new European Export Sales Manager
Cirrus Research has appointed Bart Buermans as its new European Export Sales Manager as part of its strategic expansion across the continent.
Bart joins the company in the newly created role and will be working across Europe with particular emphasis on their Frankfurt and Barcelona offices where he will be supporting existing sales team.
His experience and knowledge of Cirrus’ noise monitoring products is already second to none having moved from one of its successful distributors, Scantec in Belgium where he was sales manager. He will be nominally based in Antwerp but expects to spend at least 50% of his time in the other European offices each month, as well as regular visits to the Cirrus Head Office in North Yorkshire and the new Cirrus Environmental base in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
Cirrus Research, Director of Marketing Rick Heap, said: “His technical and industry knowledge is extremely high, having dealt with both Cirrus products and clients over the past 20 years.
“He will be able to pass on his insight to the other European sales teams and bring a new level of understanding of the markets to Cirrus. We are extremely lucky to have brought him on board and we’re confident he will strengthen relationships with existing clients as well as quickly establish new ones.”
Bart started in the noise monitoring industry more than 20 years ago and has spent most of his career to date with Scantec Industries in a variety of sales and technical roles. He is fluent in Dutch, French and English and also experienced in the cultural nuances that can dictate sales strategies across the very diverse European market.
Rick added: “Bart will have a very broad remit, not only looking at the business development aspect of the role but also how to streamline processes and establish stronger inter-office communications and sharing of best practice.”
