Following a very strong year in 2019, GreCon Limited recently celebrated 28 years of business and commitment to the UK & Ireland market, albeit this celebration was curtailed due to the ongoing pandemic. The company marked their anniversary by sending virtual slices of ‘Detector cake’ to thank customers and colleagues for their continued loyalty and support.
Responding to the COVID-19 pandemic
As part of their response to the current pandemic, the GreCon team have been focused on helping customers in critical industries, including travelling to their sites where needed. These visits have included customers in power generation, recycling, food and hygiene industries. Jonathan Hamill, Managing Director said, “I’ve thanked our team for their contribution, for staying at home when they’ve been asked to, coming to work when needed and for finding new ways to adapt to this challenging situation”.
The company also introduced a proven remote support solution to the UK & Ireland market. The digital service platform SATELLITE has already been well-proven across Fagus-GreCon group customers globally. It allows GreCon’s customers to initiate secure remote access and enables a fast response from a team of experienced support engineers, which is welcome in the current challenge.
Preparing for a return towards a new normal
GreCon has seen many enquiries from existing and potential new customers as businesses grapple with the impact of the pandemic. Hamill reflected, “Although we’ve seen some customers suspend production, many are using this time to great effect, looking to implement optimised processes and to make improvements ahead of a return to a new normal. We’re available to have exploratory discussions and provide any assistance we can. In doing this, we believe we can help industry tackle the recession, to emerge stronger and more resilient.”
