Leuze’s New Extended Range Inductives
The new inductive Leuze IS 200 series sensors offer up to three times the operating range of standard inductive sensors.
When it comes to detecting metal objects, inductive sensors come into their own however, traditionally there operating ranges are limited. To overcome this the Sensor People from Leuze have come up with a new, highly cost-effective solution. The IS 200MM.2 inductive sensors have switching distances of up to an impressive 40 mm.
Flexible implementation
The IS 200 series sensors are available in M12, M18 and M30 housings made of nickel-plated brass. Each sensor type is available both quasi-flush and non-flush variants. The sensors offer users the advantage of reliable detection for moving machine components, as well as tools, raw materials or end products made of steel, aluminium, copper alloy or stainless steel. The large switching distance means just one compact sensor model can be used for multiple applications with different operating range requirements. This standardization therefore also reduces inventory cost and allows for a cost-efficient system design.
Robust construction
The devices in the IS 200 series are IP 67 which together with high durability and robust design make them well-suited for installation in environments subject to dirt or vibration. The devices also have a wide temperature range from -25 to +70°C
