LOK6 delivers one for all safe isolation
Now available from Martindale Electric – leaders in voltage detectors and safe isolation – is the LOK6, a universal locking off device for fuse carriers. Designed to restrict finger access to live contacts and prevent the reinsertion of a fuse whilst maintenance is in progress, the LOK6 is ideally suited to Red Spot and other similar style fuse holders. It’s easily adjustable to fit fuse holders from 20A to 100A, providing a ‘’one size fits all solution’’ improving safety and saving time sourcing the right device for the job.
Many Red Spot style fuse holders, which are still in widespread use today, are manufactured from materials which are not very durable and can fracture easily by the sharp grub screw found in many conventional MCB / Fuse lock-off devices. To offset this problem, the new LOK6 from Martindale Electric uses an effective clamp system to grip the wall of the Red Spot style fuse holder base, eliminating the possibility of damage.
Designed to provide the user with maximum protection, the LOK6 is clamped adjacent to the terminal at one end of the fuse holder, rendering it safe against accidental finger access. As an additional safety measure, the LOK6 also includes an integral sliding cover which can be adjusted to restrict accidental finger access at the far end of the fuse holder base making it suitable for use with a wide range of Red Spot style fuse holder bases from 20A to 100A.
Manufactured without any metal parts – to reduce the risk of use in live working environments – the LOK6 is constructed from a resilient flame-retardant blend of Polycarbonate and ABS for high impact strength and long term durability.
Designed in Martindale’s distinctive yellow casing, to make it easily identifiable, the new locking off device from Martindale Electric is quick to install without the need for any tools.
THE LOK6 is suitable for use with a wide range of locking padlocks with wire shackles up to 7mm wire diameter. For added safety, Martindale Electric recommends utilising the insulated padlock PAD20R.
