Norton supports trades with free online training

One of the UK’s most renowned abrasives specialist, Norton, is promoting the importance of training amongst trades with free online live webinars. Hosted by Norton experts, the webinars support metal fabricators by developing their skills and understanding of abrasive products, with the aim to keep up with demand.

Businesses in the industrial and construction sectors are now looking to review skills and training needs, especially as the demand for these sectors has increased in recent months. Businesses that have recently recruited new employees will want to ensure their teams are up to date with their knowledge, practical skills and health and safety awareness.

As the industry has had to adapt to remote working and learning, Norton has begun offering a series of webinars covering various topics – from weld removal to composite polishing.

The online sessions are concise, informative, and interactive, demonstrating how to make the most out of Norton’s many unique product features and use them safely and effectively.

Taking place on Microsoft Teams, the webinars will be hosted by European Application Engineer, Paul Gray, who will be accompanied by a relevant Product Manager for each webinar.

Upcoming session include:

  • How to remove scale – the best product for carbon steel – Friday 13th May, 10:30am – 11:15am BST
  • Belt finishing – achieve a number 4 surface finish quickly and easily – Friday 13th May, 13:30pm – 14:15pm BST

Featuring some of Norton’s most popular product ranges: Quantum3, Blaze Rapid Strip, and BearTex, the webinars will help participants identify which products to use and how to use them to achieve that perfect finish, and how to improve day-to-day operational efficiencies.

The webinar sessions have been an enormous hit with engineers, maintenance, and repair technicians. They will continue throughout 2022 upon high demand.
