VEGABAR series 80 – could it change the way you measure pressure?

VEGA has completely re-engineered their VEGABAR pressure transmitter family and simplified them down to just three innovative model ranges; meaning it is now much easier for the user to choose their perfect instrument from this full-range supplier of pressure technology.

These three transmitter variants can solve practically any process pressure application. VEGABAR 82 is the all-rounder: its ceramic measuring cell covers 60 to 70 % of all applications. If high temperature and resistance is required, the VEGABAR 81, with its chemical seal assembly, is the first choice. And for very high pressures, VEGABAR 83 with its metallic measuring cell is recommended.

Motorised valve actuator with optimised precision and speed – High resolution, fast and reliable

Normally, control valves for use in process control circuits are equipped with pneumatic actuators. The advantages of this design are rapid positioning speed and high resolution of the valve position, both being prerequisites in achieving a satisfactory standard of control accuracy. However, in this case the power supply can be a cause of concern since a supply of instrument quality air is needed for the actuation of the almost always required positioner. In principle, an electrical power supply would be less problematical for this purpose, but the positioning of motorised control valves is very often slow and they are subject to very high hysteresis which makes them unsuitable for many control tasks.

Conveniently Calibrate Plant Vacuum Gauges

Why do vacuum gauges need to be calibrated?

The largest uncertainty when using vacuum gauges on a process plant is knowing when the process has caused drift or shifts of calibration. Many processes handle vapours and, if any condensation or deposition happens, the chances are it will also happen in the vacuum gauge. Many such gauges – Pirani, cold cathose and ion gauges – use thermal or ionisation cross-section measurements to infer the level of vacuum being experienced and they have filaments, cathodes and other hardware, all of which may be coated with by-products from the process.

Weber 4050 Pallet Applicator Bar Code Scan System

The Weber 4050P Pallet Applicator is designed to label pallets on two adjacent sides without having to stop the pallet. This differentiates the system from other Pallet Applicators in the market and makes the 4050P one of the fastest systems available capable of labelling up to 420 pallets per hour. However with Pallet Labelling there is sometimes the requirement to validate that the barcodes printed are able to be scanned and also that the label has been applied to the product.

The 4050P Pallet Applicator is able to meet these criteria, however in cases where this is required the pallet has to be stopped to ensure that if incorrect labels are printed then they can be re-printed and applied to the product.
